Booking Procedure and General Terms & Conditions
Step 1 - Booking Form
Please complete the ENQUIRY FORM providing your full name and your holiday dates. When you select the days of sailing and/or accommodation required you will be presented with a choice of the available yachts and accommodation to select. Provide full contact details and additional information, number, age, gender of the passengers and any special requests that you might have at this stage. Otherwise, you can call or email us direct with the necessary details if you prefer.
Step 2 - Quotation & Option
Immediately upon the receipt of your enquiry we will ascertain the availability of the yacht and/or accommodation required and get back to you as soon as possible (quotation). Once you have been informed about availability and prices and are interested, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may reserve your booking under 'option' for a maximum period of 7 days. This means that your booking is reserved for you for 1 week.
Step 3 - Booking Confirmation & Contract
We will email/send a 'Booking Confirmation & Contract' for completion. Before the 'option' period expires you must confirm your booking by making the deposit payment (normally 50% of the total amount) and email/fax a copy of the payment receipt along with the signed contract. This contract, together with your deposit payment receipt is your booking confirmation. Your booking is now complete. If the 'option' period has already expired upon receipt of your deposit/contract, we will make every effort to find the same or similar booking that meets with your approval.

Once your booking is complete we have time to sort the details.
For a yacht charter booking we will require the following information in due course:
Crew list (full names, dates of birth, contact info)
• Arrival information (day, time, flight, airport, etc.)
• Copies of sailing Licenses or Certificates
• Orders for any extras needed (to be paid for at check-in)
General Terms & Conditions
1-Payment Terms
To confirm your booking you must make a deposit payment, normally 50% of the total amount payable (see your personal quotation/contract). Your holiday needs to be paid for IN FULL 60 days prior to the start date.
2-Cancellation
The cancellation fees are based on the period of time between the date of cancellation and the start date.
90 days or more: 300 euros is retained to cover administration and chartering procedural fees.
89 – 60 days prior to start date: 30% of the total holiday fee is retained.
59 – 30 days prior to start date: 50% of the total holiday fee is retained.
29 – 0 days prior to start date: 100% of the total holiday fee is retained.
3-Travel Insurance
It is a condition of booking that all members of your party are covered by comprehensive travel insurance for the full period of your holiday. This must cover cancellation due to unforseen circumstances arising from the date your booking is made (standard in most good policies). It is important that you purchase travel insurance that properly covers your participation in whatever activities you may undertake whilst on holiday. Insurance for yacht charter cancellation costs is recommended, as is extended third-party insurance for skippers covering damage caused by gross negligence and lost charter revenue.
4-Yacht Charter - Refundable Security Deposit
You are required to leave a security deposit guarantee prior to embarkation in case of any damage to the yacht or loss of equipment. The security deposit is returned to you once the yacht has been returned at the pre-agreed time and place, and checked to be in the same condition that it was handed over to you. Any minor damages shall be deducted from this deposit. A Security Deposit is NOT applicable for Skippered Charter although the charterer IS liable/responsible for loss or damage of equipment directly attributed to them.
5-Yacht Charter - Start and Finish days
All charters begin latest 1900hrs on the start day and typically end at 0900hrs on the day of departure. However you will be required to return to base on the last afternoon (latest 1500hrs or as agreed) of your charter for 'Check-out' as this is the minimum time required to ensure that the boat is delivered to the next charter in perfect working order. We will do our best, depending on the circumstances, to accommodate your requirements.
6-Yacht Charter - Check-in and Check-out
At check-in (arrival) we verify the condition of the yacht, the items on board and conduct a briefing on the yacht and safety. At check-out (departure) we make sure everything is returned in the condition you collected it in and that the fuel and water tanks are full. Check-out/in is NOT applicable for Skippered Charter.
7-Sailing Qualifications
Bareboat charter regulation in Greece requires at least two sailing licenses/certificates on board or at least one Skipper licence and a competant/experienced crew member. In this case you may be required to complete a declaration that you are competent to undertake responsibility of the yacht and to demonstrate competence to our base manager or you may need to hire a skipper or co-skipper for the duration of you holiday.
8-Yacht Charter - Special Notes
8.1-We reserve the right to substitute an alternative yacht of equivalent quality and capacity should the need arise.
8.2-As is customary on all skippered yachts you are asked to pay for the skipper, co-skipper meals on board and ashore.
8.3-Charter Party Contract: Some charter companies will ask you to sign their own charter contract before boarding.
8.4-Early Bird Discount (EBD) applies to Bareboat Yacht Charter prices only and selected yachts as shown.
9-Agent: MIXit Sailing Ltd
MIXit Sailing Ltd as Agents of the Owners act in good faith on behalf of both Owner and Charterer but contract as Agents only and in no way incur any liability for any acts, matters or things done, committed, omitted or suffered by either party.
