On the Oceanis 40.1 sailing is comfortable and well-balanced thanks to a hull with the mast now further aft, the sail plan is now optimal and she demonstrates outstanding stability under sail. The transom, closed to protect the boat during sailing, opens out automatically, converting into a huge aft swimming platform. This is an ingenious idea affording direct access to the sea without encroaching on the space and comfort of the helm stations.
